Terri and Ron have got to be the luckiest couple I’ve had all summer. There wedding was August 7th and the week before there wedding we had several days of over 100 degree weather and a couple days before their wedding it cooled off. You talk about hitting the lottery. When you have an August wedding you expect it to be hot and we had a nice mild low humidity day.
The weather was just the beginning to this wonderful day. Started off meeting the girls at Image Makers in Newburgh. Everything was so relaxed from the very beginning. The ceremony was a simple service at Aldergate then it was on to Rolling Hills Country Club for the reception.
The hardest part of my day was reminding Ron to smile for his formals… “Smile Ron”

Brooke and Cody were last minute arrivals this year. They booked me just this past April, I believe. They got engaged in February and put this beautiful wedding together in 6 months. For a July wedding you couldn’t have asked for better weather…. not that I thought it was going to snow. It was actually a nice… I won’t say cool but not super hot, day. The girls got ready at the brides house in Washington and the ceremony and reception all took place at the Bauerhaus.
This was a day that just went so smoothly too. Everyone was on time, well actually early… even the bride. Brooke was so worried about crying cause she said, she get the ugly cry on. Didn’t think to tell her when you’re wearing a wedding dress even the ugly cry is pretty.
This wedding marked the end of a 10 week run for me. So Im looking forward to some weekend off to rest and relax. I have a few other shoots coming up so Ill have some things to post but the weekly posts will be slowing down. I wonder how these guys that blog everyday do it. I just dont have that much going on in my life.
Sara and Bryce got married July 3rd. This day started early. I arrived at the salon in Princeton at 7ish. You all know what a morning person I am. The ceremony was at 2pm in Evansville, which is why we started so early at the salon. There was some pretty good drive time for this wedding. Salon in Princeton, ceremony in Evansville, and reception in Haubstadt. We also had a quick stop off on the way to the reception at Bosse Field for some photos of the wedding party and bride and groom.
This couple came to me through the grooms family. I shot his sisters wedding a couple years ago, so it was like a reunion for me. Also, as the day went on I found out that my cousins wife was the brides aunt. So I had some connections to this couple all over. The day started early and went late cause there was hope of fire works at the end of the night, unfortunately, they got nixed. Still was a wonderful day. Congrats Sara and Bryce.
Jaclyn and Roberts wedding was something a little different for me to shoot last weekend. Jacklyn was lucky enough to know the people that own the property where this little town used be. This was the most interesting place. Most of us have yards bigger than this, but there was a church, tavern, school house, and several other little buildings. Not sure if they were houses or what. There used to be a general store but it was sacrificed to restore some of the other buildings there.
Everyone was so laid back and with an outdoor wedding in June, you kinda have to be. I don’t know how much I drank that day but seems like I had something in my hand most of the day. You couldn’t ask for a day to just go so well. Everyone was so wonderful to work with. Jaclyn and Robert congratulations!
Sara and Aaron were the second wedding of my two wedding weekend. I have to admit this one was a bit rough on me. Sara is friends with a couple of my past brides and before I even knew who she was I got this message on facebook from this girl telling me how much she loved my work and how when she got married she was going to hire me to shoot here wedding. Well have to say shes been good for my ego… or bad depending on who you talk to.
Sara was so laid back that day. I think her mind set that day was “whatever’ or “no big deal” Nothing seemed to bother her. She just wanted to have fun and enjoy her day… and I think she did. This was the biggest wedding party I think Ive ever shot. Including the bride and groom, there were 23 in this wedding party.
The reception was at the Crescent room. This was thew first time I had shot there. Its a great location for a smaller wedding. All and all this was a wonderful intimate wedding with some fun people. Sara and Aaron I truly enjoyed working with you both. Its been great getting to know you both over the past year.
