Its amazing how fast time does go by.Its already been a couple week since Katie and Nate got married.  they got married Saturday June 5th at St. Bonaface and the reception at the Scottish Rite.  It was another fun day with a lot of fun people.  The day went as smooth as any wedding I can remember.  Katie seemed a little nervous about the ceremony but made it though it just fine.  After that it was cake.  We did some family photos at the church then took the wedding party downtown to play.  Once we got to the reception it was all relaxed fun.  As always it was a great day spend with a wonderful couple.  Congrats Katie and Nate!

I got to spend a couple hours this past Sunday photographing one of my favorite clients again. I can’t believe it’s been over a year ago that I shot the little hands and feet pictures hanging in my office. To this day aside from the end of her newborn session I don’t think I’ve ever heard this little one have any sort of a screaming fit.
We took her for her 1 year session to the University of Evansville campus to let her explore. The campus has some wonderful color that day and we had some wonderful light for the shoot too. We set her loose and just let her explore. This little is personality plus as I think you’ll see. She also makes the funniest faces. I was able to capture one. I got her O face, she also has fish face and well scrunchy face but hey sometimes babies are faster than autofocus. IF your having a bad day these will cheer you up in a minute.

Everyone meet Ava. Ava is the first child of Andrea and Cary, whose wedding I shot about 3 years ago. Andrea brought Ava in Monday afternoon for her first photo session and I’ll tell you she wasn’t having it. Everytime we laid her down so I could get the shots of her little hands and feet… she would squirm and grunt… there were other bodily noises too LOL… then she’d start yelling. She wasn’t interested in having her picture taken she wanted to be held by mom. She did officially christen my studio though. She managed to pee on Mom and later when Dad got there he got it too, just her way of showing she wasn’t enjoying herself. The totally awesome photographer was the only one who didn’t get it. =) Although, I was holding her not long before Dad got it. Well, despite her objections to having her photo taken we did get some very cute images though. So please enjoy!

Well some of you may know tha yesterday instead of staying in my office and working on things, I had a chance to go out in the really nice weather and play.  My friend Michelle had a girl from church that was home for spin break that wanted some photos, so it became a play day. I loved it. Warm weather, just running around downtown taking images. If I could do Senior sessions like this everyday… I would.

We even convinced Saundra Hadley to come out and play as well and she brough Ranger with her, who was thrilled to be out and about.  We got to do lunch outside at the Jungle. Just an all out wonderful day. Im so ready to get back into the swing of things.

Well I know several of you heard me talking about getting to go to the Neon graveyard while I was in Vegas this year. I can’t even tell you all what an awesome experience it was. Not only did I get to meet some friends that until that day I had only talked to via Facebook and the forums, but I got to shoot in one totally cool place. I totally wish we has something like this to go play in around here. If anyone knows of such a place let me know please.
The day before the shoot it was rainy and cold and a few of us were worried about it being canceled. I had a lens break Monday and wasn’t as hyped about doing the shoot after that but once I got out there and we got started I was so stoked. I used the broken lens as an opportunity to use my non zoom lenses and force myself to work different and get out of my normal rut. I have to say we got to work with some extraordinary models. I don’t anyone could have taken a bad image in that place and with the models we had.
There will be more images and stories from Vegas over the next few day/weeks. I have a few new things coming up that I want to try so it may take me awhile. So I hope these cool images old you over.
Also, for those of you that are avid readers of my blog there will be a nice change in the next week or so. So, if you are a subscriber or have me bookmarked in google reader or something along those lines you will have to rebookmark me or resubscribe soon. So keep an eye out for the new changes. The blog is what I’m hoping will be just one of a few new things here… but I don’t want to tell you everything now. Won’t have anything to talk about later.
