I’m putting the finishing touches on my booth for tomorrows bridal show. I know I showed those cool little Moo Cards in an earlier post. Well today I just wanted to show off my new business cards. Just imagine how good looking I’d be iff I put this kind of thought into making myslef look this good. LOL
month: October 2008
Well, this wedding had everything a wedding should have… a bride, a groom, flowers, a wedding planner, musicians, a photographer…. Oh yeah… and breaking and entering. I’m not totally sure where to start telling you about yesterday. Should I tell you how I was made to get up at 7am, which for those of you that know me know I’m not a morning person, or should I just tell you about the breaking and entering? Well as Maria Von Trapp said “Let’s start at the very beginning. A very good place to start”. Yes I had to get up at 7 am to be at the hair salon by 830. Now my bride was supposed to start her hair at 8. Well she calls me right as I’m pulling into the parking lot to tell me she’s not going to start till 9. There was an extra hour of sleep I could have had, but it’s all good. From there we head to the church. My couple decided they wanted to see each other before hand and get the formal photos out of the way. No problem… until I met all the guys. Now I had been warned about these guys. No amount of warning could have prepared me for this group of guys. I learn a new phrase which I can’t even tell you about. Needless to say they were a rowdy bunch… but a lot of fun.
I got a client album in today. It reminded me that this is one of the most depressing times in my relationships with my clients. I love to see the look on your faces when you get you first look at your wedding albums but I also know that is the last time you’ll walk through my door. I’ve been meaning to start shooting images of my albums as they come in so I should have a handful of them coming in over the next few weeks and will, if I remember to shoot them, have some stuff to show you.
Well its been another week of eating anything that can be deep fried. Every year Im amazed at what new thing we’ve battered and deep fried. I worked the SWIRCA cobbler booth 2 times this week. We were swamped on Wednesday night. I think it’s the location… right there at were people are heading back to their car and they can grab one more last sweet treat before they get there. On Monday night I was able to get away and take some pics. This is the first time I’ve ever taken my camera down there. Anyway, I hope everyone got their fill again this year.
Well the church was in the country. I haven’t gotten out of Evansville much this year. Not that this was real far out of Evansville but it’s been awhile since I’ve had to make my way out of town to far, but I found it ok. The day Cassie met with me to go over the details of the wedding day we learned this church was far enough out of Henderson that Google didn’t feel the need to photograph it with the satellite.
The day of the wedding I had a lot of fun listening to Cassie and her sisters carry on. Those Kentucky girls have some spunk now. I loved it. All in all it was a pretty laid back day. The ceremony was at 7pm so I got to shoot the formals in that perfect suset light that I love. The formals after the ceremony were a bit more challenging for me since the sun had already set. but I was given some neat places with some nice lights to play with so I was happy. It doesn’t take much to excite me just good light and people that are willing to deal with my odd requests.
