month: June 2008
Alex and Ricky had an awesome out door wedding at the bauerhaus this past Saturday. I couldn’t have asked for it to be any better. The ceremony was at 6pm, which gave me the most incredible light any photographer could have asked for. I feel like I’ve learded so much this year and it all came together this Saturday. This goup, and their ability to get silly in front of the camera made my job real easy as well.
This image was kinda funny. The shot I did before this I told Ricky I wanted a serious face. Well he carried it on to this shot cause I didn’t tell him otherwise. So we both got kind of a laugh out of that. I’ve never had someone do exactly what i said and not change till I told them. Now if he does that for Alex, she will rule everything. LOL
I’ve known Allie for … well I’m not toally sure how long. I worked with her mom, at Schnucks, for several years then she came to work as a cashier, her sophomore year in high school. Well she got married last Saturday on June 14th. You talk about hot. Other than that the day was perfect. The wedding actually took place at the smae place as my last wedding, except for the reception. Reception was at the Holiday Inn in the main ballroom.
You know I don’t ever remember shooting this image, but when I saw it I thought it was such an interesting image.
Allie & Ryan, Congratulations and thank you for allowing me to be apart of your day.
Can you imagine what something like this would do for the tourist industry in this country. If they could keep the cost of tickets down. Flying is getting way to expensive, and who can afford to drive but this thing runs off electricity. Plus if you don’t like to fly… imagine flying alone the ground. Plus no pollution. I’d be willing to say they could just follow the same train rails we have in place so we wouldn’t be tearing up much more land putting in new train lines. Maybe they could open up some of the old train stations across the country. Aside from the cost of implementing this project this could be a win-win situation.
I can see this being the future of travel, at least inside the country. If so, I find it kind of interesting how things come full circle. In photography we are always revisiting old techniques and processes like they are something new. With this we will have gone from train to plane back to train. I know Im rambling… but that is the title of this blog. LOL
Oh one last thing. In Japan, they broke a record with a Mag train and hot 581 kilometer per hour. Thats 361 miles per hour… anyone know how fast passenger planes go.
One of my former brides is going to be a mom soon. Casey is the first of my brides to come in for a maternity session… not the first to have a baby just the first to come see me for photos. Lilly is due on the 4th of July. How cool will it be for her… the first few years she’ll think everyone is celebrating her birthday with fireworks. She’s going to think she’s the coolest person ever. Well anyway, she’ll be here soon. So I thought Id share some of the first images of her. The doctor beat me to the very first images but my camera can’t shoot through a person. = P
OK now that last one was to show you a comparison. At a nice round 42 inches… I think I still have her beat. I was so hesitant to put this image up. I think its the shirt… Im going to stop wearing that grey tshirt. It makes me look fat. LOL
