Im thinking of changing her name… this morning my dad couldn’t find this character anywhere. Well later he found a hole in one of the window screens. Well needless to say I found her outside in the bushes in front of the house with a dead bird on the porch. Im not sure how long she was out there but she slept all day… I guess most cats do though. That was my excitement for the day.

Ok Im playing catch up. I at least have been blogging but I got behind on getting my wedding images up. So I have 2 weddings to show off now. he first is Natalie and Michael. Their wedding was May 3rd. (I know…I know) This was the first wedding I’ve had in awhile that had nice weather but it was windy… well the girls would tell you it was cold. Despite the rumors I heard from several people about Natalie not doing very well in heels… she never went down all day, as I recall she never even stumbled.

The next is Nicole and T.J. This was the first wedding I had after my workshop in Nashville, so I was a bit excited about this one, it gave me a chance to try out some of the new things I learned about shooting in the sun instead of running for shade. So i have some of those images posted below. I hope you like. Ill try and get some images up of todays wedding a little faster.

Well Ive been a little MIA this week. I was in Nashville at a workshop to be a better me… well a better photographer anyway. I can’t even begin to tell you everything I learned. All i can say is that my head is about to explode. The work shop was taught by steve and Jennifer Bebb. They are one of the top ten wedding photographers in the world…. yes the world. They were so cool and open about every aspect of their own business… which most photographers at that level aren’t always willing to do. Im really hoping to make a lot of changes over the rest of the year. Some of it won’t be as noticeable. Ill keep you up to date as I go. Anyway, I wanted to share some of the images of my week.

This is what a $15 a day parking lot looks like.  What do the cheap ones look like?

All these shot were from the photo shoot we had on Wednesday.

What do you think Jack is thinking?

What do you all think about the images being centered on the blog?

I’ve excepted the fact that I will never be thin, but this is like rubbing it in my face. Now Im depressed.

Does kinda make you want to exercise more though… huh

Just to let you all know. This bill will not only effect professional artists but the average everyday person as well. All the family photos you all shoot and put on google, flickr, or your blogs become fair game. Big corporations will be able to use your family photos, make money for your images and you won’t be able o do anything. I urge you to write your congressmen and tell them to oppose this bill. We have to stop give all of our rights to big corporations.

UPDATE:

I did some more reading on this and the idea behind the bill is to open up images and art works, where the owner can not be located, to use in commercial applications. The problem and what everyone is up in arms (me included) is that the definition of Orphaned Works has been defined to vaguely. I did find out that companies do have to make an effort to find the owner before they can claim it as an Orphan Work. Then if the owner does come to claim the work they will have to negotiate reasonable compensation.

I’m sorry my post today has been so political.  I get a little on edge when the economy is so bad and moneys tight and then I hear someone is trying to take away the rights to my own work.  This is why I don’t talk politics with people.  I get irate about things.
